Chief Finance Officer
Salary: £97,377 - £107,625 Relocation Package available

At Cleveland Police we are looking for an outstanding leader to join the Chief Officer Team. We are on an exciting journey of improvement through our Towards 2025 plan and the Chief Finance Officer role is integral to supporting the Chief Constable to achieve his vision of delivering outstanding policing for our communities.

We’re looking for a high performing and experienced senior finance professional who has supported a complex organisation to identify and realise significant improvements, whilst delivering its key priorities. As well as leading teams to perform at their very best, you’ll be responsible for taking our finances into the future, with direct responsibility for the leadership and management of the Finance, ICT, Procurement & Fleet, Estates and Facilities, and Business Continuity and Risk functions. As our s.151 Officer your expert finance knowledge will enable you to provide high-level financial advice and guidance to inform business critical decisions, whilst contributing to the corporate leadership of Cleveland Police by leading strategic initiatives that support our long-term vision.

You’ll be a robust, professional leader with demonstrable experience of operating as a Director of Finance, or an aspiring Assistant Director of Finance, who has managed and led significant change across a broad remit. You’ll be CCAB-qualified, or equivalent, and you will be analytical, creative and politically aware. You’ll be an ambassador for the organisation, with excellent leadership and people skills, and a clear customer focus.
